    Dear Readers:
I am indebted to REBECCA ANNE GOETZ for the above copy of her Doctoral dissertation from Harvard University on the life and times of GENERAL ARTEMAS WARD. Her interesting paper pointing to the efforts of the WARD FAMILY in Massachusetts in the 1800s, to memorialise the story of the WARD FAMILY from England in the 1600s, allows me to research my own WARD FAMILY connections from the vantage point of the 21st Century.

I hope that my American cousins, as yet unknown to me, will read this scholarly paper and reveal themselves by commenting on this blogsite which offers 85 Books, Vignettes and smaller “articles” on the FAMILY HISTORY of the WARD FAMILY of Southern England which is linked to “branches” of my Family Tree in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the current USA. My WARD Family has touched the lives of many others named MONK, BECK, BUCKLAND, GOBLE, PORTER, ATKINS, and dozens of other Families representing the 30,000 people om our FAMILY TREE. We are starting to hear from many fellow genealogists who share a deep interest in the questions “Where am I from?” and “Where are we going?”.

    T’is a PUZZLEMENT…

John Graham Ward (following the steps of our Great Grandparents…)
