Hi John, Have at last seen your blog on the Monk family, have spoken to Phyllis. May I say how delighted I am to see my family history on my father’s side so well presented. Thank you for all your time and effort. Regards Annetta.

Annetta: As I sit here on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada it was a tremendous pleasure and surprise to get your comment on the “History of the Monk Family of Sussex”. I did not quickly remember the family name of BUCKNALL but I certainly knew the name of ANNETTA… I had just picked up your Cousin Phyllis from her long delayed 20-hour trip back from England and she is still “sleeping it off”. It was increditable to hear that you were recently talking to her. It must be more than 50-years since I spoke to you and Ted! I hope you will visit our WARD FAMILY BLOG often and will enjoy some of the 110 Books posted there. We have 32,000 people on our WARD FAMILY TREE – not all WARDS of course, but including many MONK, TREAGUST, BUCKNALL etc, etc. I am presently working on BOOK #111 “The Protest Preacher’s Daughter (Mary Ann Ward Toone Waite from 1582-1660). They were PILGRIMS & PROTESTANTS who emigrated from England to “New England” in British Colonial America. Many of our WARD Ancestors were amoung them. Including a few BUKNAMS also, but that’s not your Family… I thought for a while it was!
Anyway, let’s keep in touch? We may meet again, who knows!
Best Regards to you and Ted.
