  Hi John,

  I want to thank you for presenting this extensive history of the Langridge family. Every year or so I check for new content on the web and was pleased to find your work.

  What I know about my “recent” family history is that my grandfather’s family (dad’s side) was from Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent and immigration was sometime in the late 1800’s to America by way of Nova Scotia and then on to here in Texas, south of Dallas in the town of Corsicana. My great grandfather is buried in Corsicana, Texas at Oakwood Cemetary. My father vaguely recalls him speaking with an English accent. My grandfather had a half brother that may have been involved in nefarious activities in Louisiana, specifically in New Orleans (Carlo?)

  At any rate, we had assumed that being Kentish there might have been a chance of us originating from Jutland as Saxons but it seems that this may not be the case if there is a link between our lines.

  I am still reading and studying your document but I wanted to say thank you do much for taking the time to write this extensive treatment of the Langridge family. I know that my 82 year old father will be fascinated to read it.
