Posting #100: The TOWER of LONDON
This is the history of the famous CASTLE built over 1,000 years ago by WILLIAM (The Conqueror) in LONDON to “overawe” the Anglo-Saxon populace of ENGLAND and establish his SUPREMACY over the Country that now was his “possession”.
All the KINGS and QUEENS of England that followed used the “CASTLE” for the same purpose. It was variously a Royal Residence (in times of rebellion), a Defensive Protection (in times of insurrection), a PRISON, an EXECUTION Facility, a TREASURY, a ROYAL MINT and a MENAGERIE for entertainment of the Monarch (and later, the Paying Public).
Anyone who CHALLENGED the Monarch or OPPOSED the ROYAL DECREE would find a quick and BLOODY DEATH in the “BLOODY TOWER”.
Read this story and understand why “WE, THE PEOPLE” no longer tolerate DESPOTS or AUTOCRATS anymore in ENGLAND. Donald Trump would not be FREE and UN-INDICTED in those times, even in BRITISH COLONIAL AMERICA!
